What do I need to hook up my computer to the internet?

In order to access the wireless internet you will need an 802.11b compliant wireless card. This can be bought at Wal-Mart, Office Depot, Office Max, etc. If you run into any problems with your wireless internet please contact our internet service provider, Pavlov Media, at 866-236-6688 or pavlovmedia.com. They have customer support technicians available 24/7.

What utilities are included in my rent?

Your monthly rent includes: wireless internet, basic cable & HBO, water, sewer, trash, and pest control.

Is parking available?

Parking is never a problem at The Reserve. We have plenty of parking spaces and we also offer carport parking. Residents will receive a hang tag for regular parking spots. For carport parking, there is a $25 fee added to your monthly rent and you will receive a sticker with your designated location. Guest parking is also available throughout the property. These designated parking spots are marked with yellow and are located by buidings 2, 3, 8 and 9, 14 and 10.

How close to campus are you?

We are only ONE mile away from campus!

What types of apartments/rooms are available?

You have the option of living in a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath starting at $469/monthly, 3 bedroom/ 3 bath starting at $369/month, or 4 bedroom/ 2 bath starting at $319/month. You can choose to have your apartment furnished or unfurnished. A furnished apartment includes a dining room table and chairs, a sofa, a sofa chair, an end table, a coffee table, a full XL bed, a desk, and a desk chair and is $20 extra per month.

What types of leases are available?

We lease by the bedroom at The Reserve on South College. This means that your monthly rent covers your bedroom only. The benefit of this is that you cannot be held responsible if your roommate does not pay or is late with his or her rent.

Do I have to have a meal plan?

No! You have a full kitchen including dishwasher, stove, microwave and full refrigerator!

How many people live there?

We have 576 beds.

Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?

Great News! The Reserve on South College added a new feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic checks, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. You can even submit maintenance requests! Just log on to our website, click the "Pay Rent" link. This will take you to our resident rent pay portal. There is a small convenience charge for this service.

What size are the beds?

Our furnished units offer full-size extra long beds. We recommend queen linens.

When is my first payment due?

Our first payment is due July 15. There is no payment due in August, and the next payment due is September 1.

Will you send me a bill each month for rent?

We do not send invoices for your Monthly Base Rent. Your copy of the lease serves as your bill.

If I am over 21, do I need to have a guarantor?

Every lease requires a Guarantor regardless of age.

Can I use my financial aid?

Yes, however, you should be sure to check with your scholarship/loans/grants, etc to make sure you can apply Financial Aid to off-campus housing. While Auburn University and the Reserve have a close relationship, we do not share financial information. This means that YOU are responsible for the payment, not the University or Financial Aid company. We do not accept deferments; you must have the money given to you in some form and then you can pay us.

When can I move in?

If you are signing a fall lease, we have a set day, usually the weekend before school begins. For Spring leases, you may move in January 1. Other leases depend on availability and your paid first month rent.

Can I request an apartment or roommates?

Roommate requests are first consideration for room assignments. Apartment preferences are taken into consideration and are not guaranteed. We do our best to satisfy all of your requests.

Can additional furniture be brought into the apartment?

Additional furniture is more than welcome to be brought in. However, due to storage constraints, we cannot remove furniture from furnished units.

What are the renovations being made to The Reserve?

We recently upgraded our Internet from 30 megs to 100 megs of service! We repainted all of our buildings, resurfaced our parking lot and re-roofed five of our buildings. We also renovated our pool deck with new furniture and a salt water pool! We installed leather living room furniture in every furnished apartment as well as a raised bed. We installed two brand new elliptical machines in our fitness center and a Flavia coffee maker in our Internet cafe! We are planning to install an outdoor kitchen at our pool, order new fitness center equipment and finished roofing our buildings!

Is The Reserve in a convenient location?

Yes, we are very close by to many popular restaurants such as: Locos Deli & Pub, Auburn Oyster Bar and Grill, Acapulcos, Naruto Cafe, Smoothie King, and Subway. In addition to these, J&M Bookstore is right across the street and The Big Blue Bookstore is less than a mile away. One of Auburn's most popular clothing stores, Kinnucans, is .2 miles away! Wal-Mart and Winn-Dixie are also both within a mile of The Reserve as well as Best Tire and Auto, Holiday Inn Express, Chevron, and Murphy USA gas station.

What do my 24-hour amenities include?

Our Internet Cafe and Fitness Center, which are all located in the clubhouse, are available to you 24 hours a day. We also have a tanning bed and massage bed located in the clubhouse but they are only available during office hours. When the office is closed, you are able to gain access to the other amenities by using your access card.

What is the best mode of transportation to and from class?

Although we are only one mile from campus, on-campus parking is very limited. Auburn University offers a transportation service called the Tiger Transit. We are a designated transit stop. During the summer semester the transit runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. During fall and spring semesters, the transit runs 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. We also have a Night Transit bus that stops during summer semester between 5:15 p.m. and 8 p.m. and during fall/spring semester between 6:15 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.

What do I need to do if I have a package delivered?

Most packages will be delivered to the main office. If the package is small enough and sent Postal Service, it may be in your personal mailbox. We sign all packages in and notify residents by phone or flier. Residents are required to show a picture I.D. and sign the package out. Roommates and other friends are not allowed to pick up your package.

Are shorter terms available for leases?

For the coming year, we will be offering a limited amount of short term leases on a first come, first served basis.
